End of Year SMARTR Outcome

By the end of the 2019-2020 school year, 85% of students will demonstrate proficiency in mathematics, as measured by the 2019-20 GBE Grade Level Math Assessment and/or the Math SOL Assessment. 

Strategy 1 

  • Provide appropriate instructional support to help all students achieve academic excellence.

Strategy 2

  • Develop communication skills during Morning Meeting and Math Workshop to engage mathematical discourse.

End of Year SMARTR Outcome

The unadjusted pass rate for Students with Disabilities (SWD) in grades 3-6 as measured by the Reading SOL Assessment will increase from 41.3% in SY 2018-19 to 60% in SY 2019-20. The unadjusted pass rate for all students  in grades 3-6 will increase on the Reading SOL from 75.2% in SY 2018-19 to 80% in SY 2019-2020.

Strategy 1

  • Ensure that all students have access to grade-level standards-based learning that supports instruction, assessment, and grading that reflects the students’ mastery of knowledge and skills they are expected to learn.

Strategy 2

  • Implement systematic processes to measure reading performance over time to evaluate the student’s progress toward established learning and IEP goals.

End of Year SMARTR Outcome

  •  The number of students who report feeling welcome and included in our school’s community, as measured by a school survey, will increase by from the BOY to the EOY.

Strategy 1

  • Provide teachers with strategies for developing effective student-teacher relationships and a supportive classroom culture.

Strategy 2

  • Build a collaborative relationship between families and schools as active partners for the purpose of increasing positive outcomes for student success and development.
