End of Year SMARTR Outcome

The AART will check in with grade level CLTs monthly to monitor access and success in using the AAP curriculum for Young Scholars and to check if any new students have emerged from weekly use of level I critical and creative thinking strategies.

Strategy 1 

  •  Implement the FCPS Young Scholars Model with fidelity.

Strategy 2

  • Apply a broader use of Advance Academic Program (AAP) curriculum and strategies.

End of Year SMARTR Outcome

The MTSS focus for the 2020-21 SY will be improving the culture of collective responsibility.  

The MTSS schoolwide team will use Taking Action as the guiding framework to establish a common understanding of the essential actions stakeholders must take to ensure that all students meet essential grade-level expectations in academics, behavior, and social-emotional wellness.

Strategy 1

  • Ensure access to essential standards for academics, behavior, and social-emotional wellness.
  • Implement a systematic coordinated system of interventions and extended learning opportunities grounded in a strong foundation of PLCs.

Strategy 2

  • Provide differentiated and scaffolded instruction across all tiers.
  • Pair neediest students with the most skillful teachers trained to deliver evidence-based practices/programs for intervention needs

End of Year SMARTR Outcome

  •  Our students will be welcome, seen, and included in their classrooms and at school.

Strategy 1

  • Build teachers’ capacity with the facilitation of all four components of morning meeting.

Strategy 2

  • Cultivate equity and cultural responsiveness to create an inclusive learning community for all students.
