5th graders explored using the Scratch coding program to create sounds as the keyboard commands.They used pre-recorded sounds of instruments, drum beats, and sounds like snaps and sneezes, and their own voices or instruments recorded with their laptops. We then hooked up laptops to the Makey Makey, a circuit board controller, and used coins and even fruit to be the keyboard commands. What a surprise when the apple meowed!
