School History
Greenbriar East Elementary School was built beginning in December 1967 at a cost of $922,600 by Jenkins Construction Company, Inc. Our school opened its doors to students for the first time on September 3, 1968.


What's in a Name?
Did you know that Greenbriar East Elementary School was originally named Greenbriar Elementary School? Several years later, when a second elementary school was constructed to serve the Greenbriar subdivision, the new school was given the name Greenbriar West and our building was renamed Greenbriar East.
